    Fern Tree Community Centre

    Peter Escott
    Liam Constable
    the Que

Running order, set times, door price and basically anything else not mentioned above is as yet undecided. What is (almost) entirely certain is that all three acts will have brand new CDs for sale, making it an unprecedented triple album launch, an idea so terrible that it goes all the way around to the other side and becomes genius. Come and salute the bravery and can-do spirit of these enterprising young lads, all of whom looked upon the CDs piled up en masse in music stores, in radio stations, in their own homes, and came to the same blissful conclusion: "People like them; let's make some more of them."

    Escott:
    russianglowcaps.com (currently down???)

    Constable:

    Que:

    Buses:
(go to "Day" and select "Friday Only")

totally! if we do, i'll bring some of those sanitarium sausages too!
  • lisa wrote on 7 Oct '08, 10:04 report
I never understood why they called it that.

Wasn't a sanitarium a place where they processed crazy folk?

Because the Fern Tree Community Centre is hot property now. I was all set to make it happen on the 18th of October but apparently Jamiroquai are playing there every night that week (admittedly just Jay Kay and a Hobart acid jazz pickup band)

Que boys, Liam if you're on here, want to say a bit about your respective CDs?
  • mihkale_gorbachov wrote on 8 Oct '08, 16:42 report
    Que disc:

"Que: Recorded in Nagambie 2006-2007". Recorded with Nick Treweek at 2nd World Studios in Nagambie, Victoria during 2 weeks of 2006 and a week of 2007.

Goes for about 40 minutes and will cost 15 bucks.

It has a wonderful red binding.
  • liam constable wrote on 8 Oct '08, 17:49 report
I'm recording everything at home myself. "Everthing" being a single guitar and a single vocal track (plus occasional vocal harmonies) for each song. Will be finished by the date of the gig.
Most of this material has already been performed.
Will only be 8 songs (approx 25-30 mins) as I've had to weed out a fair bit of rubbish.

  • iila olive wrote on 10 Oct '08, 17:45 report
you don't need a teapot for the real stuff, fool!

hmm. i think I should control the tea - i don't trust you tea-bagging vermin. i can get a good selection with my little discount and bring it along for sampling, okay?!

this is actually quite a funny thread, i just read it properly. my highlights are mister pigface thinking buses is a band, mr baby cham having a hissy fit about hot totties and the song by lisa and co. named kettle at the fern tree tav.
(i KNOW it's not at the tav)
  • iila olive wrote on 10 Oct '08, 17:54 report
fine. bring along your little tea bags, i suppose you're already serving not-sausages rather than proper food
  • mrs seedy wrote on 10 Oct '08, 17:58 report
    now now
  • lisa wrote on 10 Oct '08, 18:19 report
ohh, illa! please bring fine teas with your little discount!

I'm going to attempt to bring my mummy, my daddy and my brother, and hopefully they'll bring cushions.

benny is controlling the sausages, lets just focus on sorting out the tea
  • mihkale_gorbachov wrote on 10 Oct '08, 20:22 report
is there any chamomile growing near the venue?
  • iila olive wrote on 11 Oct '08, 00:32 report
    hehe!
this has turned into a tea festival!

my favourite witches are tea witches named Tallulah and Tabatha Bag::
Both sisters obtain magical powers by drinking tea made from the 'High T-Plant' and both are incapable of brewing it properly themselves and require an assistant or 'Tea Caddy' to do it for them.

of course i'm happy to be tea caddy for this event(tea is my business)!
